If the headline doesn't grab the reader's attention, then
they won't read the rest of your copy. Here are three
practical tips for you:
1. When you write a marketing piece (i.e. a web page, direct
mailshot or e-shot), work on the headline last.
2. Try writing several versions. Take a break and then
choose the best one.
3. Experiment with using questions in your headlines.
(This is because the brain automatically answers
questions, doesn't it?).
